We are hiring a Senior Systems Administrator II Generalist - active TS/SCI clearance to support our government customer based in Springfield, VA. The position is required to be onsite. The position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

The Senior Systems Administrator II supports the information technology (IT) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) server team by managing enterprise-level, high performance, highly available server technology solutions (systems, applications, and services).

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Configuring, troubleshooting, administering, and maintaining the organization's Windows, Linux, and Citrix server environments.
  • Monitoring and administering the departments access and transfer cross domain solutions (CDS).
  • Developing and deploying automated mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency and streamline activities across a variety of technologies, applications, and services.
  • Maintaining and utilizing system configuration and monitoring tools to analyze performance and remediate concerns (ex: Active Directory, MECM, SolarWinds, etc.).
  • Drafting requests for change (RFC) and analyzing submissions from other departments.
  • Developing technical documentation including diagrams, standard operating procedures, workflows, and run books.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Shall have 5 or more years of progressive, hands-on experience maintaining Enterprise information systems as a systems administrator or systems engineer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
    • Deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows, Linux, and Citrix environments across an enterprise.
    • Operating and maintaining access and transfer cross domain solutions (ex: Secureview, Trusted Thin Client, Trusted Gateway System, X-ARBITOR, high speed guard, etc.).
    • Automating deployment maintenance actives utilizing custom scripts and automation tools (ex: Ansible Automation Platform, PowerShell, Bash, Python).
    • Applying and maintaining Government-standard security configurations based on Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate new idea and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences as well as senior-level executives.
  • The position shall meet the minimum credential requirements for a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) position as defined in Section 6, Table 3. System Administrator (451); Intermediate Level for SECNAV M-5239.2 compliance. (See Navy Cool WebSite).

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited University; or

Certifications: CompTIA Security+ ce; or GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC); or Systems Security Certified Practioner (SSCP)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience engineering or administering a variety of IT devices, applications, and technologies (ex: Cisco, Nutanix, VMware, Splunk, Trellix, Ivanti, ACAS, Rapid7, etc.)
  • Understanding of ServiceNow functionality, capabilities, and integration points
  • Familiarity with the concepts, implementation, and operations associated with DevSecOps in an enterprise environment

Security Clearance:

The position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
