Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator is responsible for implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Information Technology (IT) systems. This role manages IT system infrastructure and related processes, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. The administrator also supports the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers, and remains involved in resolving dispatch system and hardware issues.

What you will do

• Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.
• Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
• Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables across the ISO/IEC 15288 process areas:
• Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal
• Manage Project Process Area activities: Project Planning, Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
• Oversee Enterprise Process Area functions: Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
• Handle Agreement Process Area activities such as Acquisition and Supply.

What you need to have

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5-8 years of experience; Master's Degree with 3-6 years; PhD with 0-3 years (or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor's)

Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.

• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Perform systems engineering activities and assist in preparing work products in Technical Process Areas.
• Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
• Analyze technical alternatives for projects and make preliminary recommendations.
• Develop and deliver work products in ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
