Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, troubleshoot networks with Solution Architects.
• Travel onsite up to 25% to configure switches and resolve link issues.

• Collaborate with Product Managers on product qualification and SAP entries.
• Participate in customer meetings to capture network requirements.
• Produce technical white papers and coordinate with VARs and internal teams.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating with internal engineering teams.

Job Summary:

As a Sr. System Engineer, you’ll be the go-to person to roll out and maintain business critical applications and services for Supermicro. You are also responsible for resolving escalated service issues, coaching other engineers to resolutions, engineering and implementing complex projects. You will be a person who is independent with leadership to drive the technical development and with excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

• Work with Solution Architects to design, deploy, and troubleshoot networks
• Travel onsite with the deployment team to configure switches and troubleshoot link issues. Up to 25% travel is expected.
• Help set up and maintain network test environment
• Maintain inventory of switches, transceivers, and high-speed cables
• Work with Product Managers to qualify or re-qualify products such as switches, transceivers, and high-speed cables, and write qualification reports based on the test results
• Participate in customer meetings to capture their network requirements
• Submit paperwork under the guidance of Product Managers to enable new products in the SAP system
• Help answer customer technical inquiries via email
• Write technical white papers related to prototypes as well as final resulting products
• Co-work with external different solutions VAR (SW, HW, Switch, Integration, service, etc.) for customer RFQ/RFP, and project management with external, and inner teams
• Ensure customer overall satisfaction, collaborate with internal engineering teams to resolve clients' issues or concerns in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or equivalent experiences. MBA is highly preferable
• 8+ years of work-related experience in Deep Learning and Machine Learning
• Strong knowledge in computer server HW, networking, cluster application software, cluster platform, and benchmarks
• Solid communication skills in both verbal and written
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills
• Strong executive presence with a track record of winning mid to large clients/business

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$137,000 - $156,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
