Job summary

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior Level 3 Systems Engineer to provide high-level technical leadership and strategic direction across our engineering lifecycle. In this role, you will be the ultimate authority for the technical integrity of all systems engineering deliverables. You will work closely with users to translate mission needs into robust system architectures, lead complex integration efforts, and serve as a primary technical liaison to Government stakeholders and senior executives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements & Feasibility: Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative technical approaches, conduct feasibility studies, and translate high-level concept of operations (CONOPS) into concrete system requirements specifications.
  • Architecture & Design: Lead engineering design and development activities. Create, maintain, and mature comprehensive System Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Integration & Deployment: Provide technical leadership for integrating complex requirements, designs, and emerging technologies. Seamlessly incorporate new plans, designs, and subsystems into ongoing operations.
  • Lifecycle & Test Planning: Guide implementation planning by assessing or preparing Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP), system integration plans, and test plans.
  • Technical Documentation: Author and maintain rigorous technical documentation across the full engineering lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary interface with Government overseers regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue resolution. Clearly communicate engineering milestones and strategies to program personnel and senior executives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: Minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Substitution: Five (5) years of additional specialized systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Required Certification: An active Security+ CE (or higher baseline certification) is required.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range: $175,000-$220,000
