Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of dedicated malware reverse engineering experience with a Ph.D.
  • 3-6 years of dedicated malware reverse engineering experience with a Master’s Degree.
  • 5-8 years of dedicated malware reverse engineering experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 7-10 years of dedicated malware reverse engineering experience with an Associate's Degree.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Reverse Engineer to join our team. Your primary focus will be dissecting malicious binaries to uncover their underlying functionality, identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), and map out adversary tactics. Your technical findings will directly drive the development of advanced malware detection capabilities, signature creation, and defense mitigation strategies.

Core Technical Capabilities

The Level 3 Engineer will be expected to:

  • Conduct deep technical analysis of malicious binaries using dynamic (controlled execution) and static analysis of assembly code.
  • Deconstruct advanced obfuscation techniques designed by adversaries to evade analysis.
  • Trace call‑backs, isolate capabilities, and aid in the attribution of adversary infrastructure.
  • Deliver comprehensive technical documentation to empower detection engineering and threat mitigation teams.
Required Education & Experience Matrix

Candidates must meet one of the following baseline education and experience criteria:

  • Ph.D. + 2‑4 years of dedicated malware reverse engineering experience.
  • Master’s Degree + 3‑6 years of dedicated malware reverse engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 5‑8 years of dedicated malware reverse engineering experience.
  • Associate’s Degree + 7‑10 years of dedicated malware reverse engineering experience.

Educational Background: Degrees must be awarded by an accredited institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a strictly related technical discipline.

Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Malware Analysis: High proficiency in handling live malicious binaries and interpreting assembly code.
  • Engineering Skills: Deep familiarity with threat actor TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), IOC extraction, and APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) analysis.
  • Programming & Networking: Strong proficiency in C++ and a solid foundational understanding of computer networking principles.
  • Detection: Proven track record in signature creation and defensive mitigation.
Required Certifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess at least one of the following credentials:

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range:$140,000-$235,000
