You will enhance security through automation, optimize data operations, and contribute deep technical expertise to a range of MongoDB-based systems.

The role requires an active NSA TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and 8+ years of DB engineering experience, with proficiency in Python, MongoDB, Django/Flask, and microservices.

Qualifications

Active NSA TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5 years of DB engineering experience.
8+ years in Database Engineering on similar projects.
Proficient in Python, MongoDB/MariaDB, Django/Flask, and microservices.
Deep MongoDB/Elasticsearch or similar NoSQL expertise; strong SQL/NoSQL fundamentals.
Understanding of information security principles and practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex database structures for performance and scale.
Enhance information security via automated processes and monitoring.
Develop parsers/loaders and optimize MongoDB implementations.
Build and test Python-based REST endpoints and microservices (Django/Flask).

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mongo Database Engineer to advance critical technological solutions. In this role, you will design and implement state-of-the-art database solutions, enhance information security through automation, and provide deep technical expertise to optimize our data operations.

Key Responsibilities

Database Design & Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated database structures, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Security & Automation: Enhance information security through automated processes and continuous monitoring, leading the shift from manual to automated system security practices.
Data Management & Optimization: Develop database parsers and loaders to optimize data management; provide subject matter expertise in tuning and optimizing an existing MongoDB implementation.
Software & Microservices Development: Build and test Python-based ReST endpoints and microservices using Django and Flask.
Collaboration & Operations: Collaborate on critical initiatives to streamline and secure data operations, create efficient workflows, and deliver timely solutions for system updates.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Security Clearance: An active NSA TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or 5 years of equivalent Database Engineering experience).
Experience: 8+ years of Database Engineering experience on similar projects, with proven experience in a Database Engineer or related role.
Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, MongoDB/MariaDB, Django/Flask, and microservices architecture.
Database Expertise: Deep subject matter expertise in MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or similar document-oriented NoSQL database technologies, alongside strong foundational knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design principles and practices.
Security Knowledge: Understanding of information security principles and practices.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team, and strong communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

Education & Certifications: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
Cloud & DevOps: Experience with Swagger, AWS/C2S, Docker, version control systems, and cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Methodologies & Big Data: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Domain Experience: Previous experience working within the Intelligence Community or in national security roles.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range: $180,000-$230,000
