Job summary

RTX's Digital Technology organization seeks an IT systems administrator to manage Windows and Red Hat environments in a 24x7 operation onsite at Tewksbury, MA.

You will work with cybersecurity teams to meet DoD/8570 requirements and develop documentation and training on advanced IT processes. A DoD Secret clearance is required or the ability to obtain interim clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Interim U.S. government issued Secret security clearance prior to start.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance.
• Experience administering and securing Windows and RHEL servers.
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
• Experience with securing system configurations and hardening.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on MECM/SCCM, PXE boot, OS imaging, and automated deployment.

What You Will Do:

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within a reasonable amount of time Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
• Full time 100% onsite positioned in Tewksbury MA.

You Must Have:

• Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Ability to obtain Interim U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience administering and securing Windows and RHEL servers.
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
• Experience with securing system configurations, system hardening.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience serving as a technical SME or primary point of contact for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks.
• Familiarity with NetApp storage and/or HPC environments.
• Experience with enterprise Windows services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity integration.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling, such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, and audit support processes.

• The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.
