Amazon's Intermodal (AZIM) Network Optimization team is looking for a leader to join as a Senior Supply Chain Manager focused on identifying and executing opportunities to reduce cost, drive technology adoption, and improve automation across the intermodal network. This is a high-impact role responsible for translating complex supply chain data into actionable strategies that enhance network efficiency, eliminate waste, and accelerate operational excellence.
This role will own the end-to-end lifecycle of cost and process optimization initiatives — from identifying opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder input, to scoping solutions, driving implementation with technology and product partners, and measuring realized impact. The ideal candidate combines deep analytical capability with a builder's mindset, is energized by ambiguity and the chance to create scalable mechanisms from scratch, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where data-driven decisions directly impact network cost, reliability, and speed.

You'll start each morning reviewing network dashboards to spot cost outliers and inefficiencies across the intermodal network. From there, you'll dig into data — sizing savings opportunities, scoping automation solutions, or pressure-testing initiatives already in flight. You'll partner with Tech and Product to translate pain points into tooling requirements, sync with Finance on cost baselines, collaborate with Operations on execution constraints, and align with Strategic Sourcing on contractual realities. When you uncover high-value opportunities, you'll build the business case and present recommendations to senior leadership. Your customers are the internal AZIM teams who depend on a cost-efficient, reliable intermodal network.
