Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Sr Supervisor Quality Assurance to lead a team of inspectors and technicians, ensuring exceptional product quality and on-time delivery. The role drives CORE-based improvements, root-cause analyses, and strict adherence to Nadcap and quality procedures.

You will supervise staff, coach performance, manage risks, and participate in audits while coordinating with Operations and Supply Chain to optimize quality outcomes across manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in a related field and relevant aerospace/defense experience.
• Advanced degree preferred with minimum 3 years in quality leadership roles.
• Experience with Nadcap and quality audits is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Quality inspectors and technicians to meet product quality and customers’ delivery expectations.
• Coach and develop Quality staff; establish job expectations and manage performance.
• Plan, address risks and opportunities in operations; support inspections and equipment utilization.
• Perform RRCA on product and process non-conformances; drive corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve quality control procedures and inspection processes; participate in CORE projects.
• Lead, educate and instruct shop personnel on compliance with Quality procedures and standards.
• Perform system audits across assigned work centers; ensure Nadcap compliance; may qualify for NDT certification.

We are seeking a Sr Supervisor Quality Assurance to lead, coach, and manage a team of quality inspectors and technicians to ensure exceptional product quality and on-time delivery.

In this role, you will drive operational improvements through CORE methodologies, perform root cause analyses (RRCA) on non-conformances, and maintain strict compliance with quality control procedures, system audits, and Nadcap program requirements.

• Lead and supervise Quality inspectors and technicians to meet product quality and customers’ delivery expectation.
• Coach and develop Quality inspectors and technicians’ skills, establish job expectations and manage work performance.
• Able to plan, perform and support operations with addressing risks and opportunities.
• Support inspection including inspection plans, equipment, techniques, and optimal utilization of Quality resources.
• Perform Relentless Root Cause Analysis (RRCA) on product and process non-conformance.
• Maintain, implement and improve quality control procedures and inspection processes.
• Participate in performance improvement processes through CORE.
• To drive existing and future improvement projects.
• Lead, educate and instruct shop personnel on compliance with Quality procedures and Standards.
• Perform system audits on all areas and personnel of assigned work centers.
• Maintain compliance to all relative Nadcap program requirements.
• Will supervise NDT activity and may become NDT certified.

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

Experience supporting Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, or Quality Engineering within a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industry.

Experience with MS Office products and ERP systems.

Previous inspection experience in a Quality manufacturing environment.

Previous Aerospace manufacturing experience.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering documentation and drawings.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
