The role drives root cause analysis, process improvements, and audits to uphold high product quality.

The successful candidate will manage complex issues, foster collaboration, and influence QA practices across programs, with onsite work at Simpsonville, SC.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience leading and managing a Quality team in an aerospace context.
  • Knowledge of compliance with FAA standards and regulations.

Quality Assurance Manager

Location: US-SC-SIMPSONVILLE-1001 - 1001 Old Stage Rd - OLD STAGE. Role Type: Onsite. U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Security Clearance: None/Not Required.

What You Will Do
  • Foster a team environment of collaboration, respect, and continuous learning
  • Lead a team of product quality engineers, quality technicians and quality assurance in supporting multiple aerospace customers
  • Manage complex problems requiring extensive analysis and investigation
  • Demonstrate ability to influence others to accept approaches and practices.
  • Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in non-conformances and escapes.
  • Participates in and supports site compliance (FAI, AS9100D) and customer Audits Reviews process control documentation to ensure it is in compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
  • Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for internally produced products & processes.
  • Responsible for Product Quality Engineering - develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Proven experience leading and managing a Quality team
  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge and experience working in compliance with FAA standards and regulations
  • Experience performing and managing First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102
