Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a dynamic Superintendent with experience on large commercial or data center projects. You will manage daily field execution, trade coordination, safety, quality, schedule, production, and logistics on a Salt Lake City site.

This 12-month contract-to-hire role is onsite in Salt Lake City. You will lead teams, interact with clients and subcontractors, ensure codes compliance, and maintain project momentum throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in large ground-up commercial construction or data centers as a Superintendent.
• Strong Procore and scheduling tool experience.
• Ability to lead and coordinate teams with customers, subs, vendors and inspectors.
• Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, submittals and CPM schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field execution and trade coordination with safety, quality, schedule, production, and logistics.
• Lead site activities onsite in Salt Lake City on a 12-month contract-to-hire basis.
• Interface with project team, customers, subcontractors and inspectors to drive milestones.

Job description

• 7 + years of related experience working on large, ground-up commercial construction projects or data centers as a Superintendent
• Local subcontractor market and industry experience
• Procore experience
• Possess strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Procore, P6
• Ability to effectively lead and manage teams.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with project team, customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
• Extensive knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and techniques as well as applicable local, state, and federal building codes.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, budgets, change orders, safety standards, plans, specifications, shop drawings, blueprints, submittals, manufacturer’s literature, contract documents and specifications, and CPM schedules.
• Understand construction scheduling and sequencing
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.
• Thorough and attentive to detail; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
