Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Structural Engineer (SE) certification, or expertise in Solar/Renewable Structural projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 8+ years of structural engineering experience
• 3+ years specifically supporting high voltage substations or transmission infrastructure
• Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., RISA, RAM, STAAD, or equivalent FEA tools)
• Proficient in AutoCAD OR Rivet
• Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, NESC, IEEE, utility-specific structural criteria)
• Experience interpreting geotechnical reports and integrating foundation parameters (bearing capacity, LPILE, corrosion, etc.)
• Excellent communication, coordination, and client-facing skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field visits, site walkdowns, or client meetings (approx. 5–10%)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience with Revit
• Experience in building out a High Voltage practice, procedures, and standards

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a focus on high-voltage substations and electrical infrastructure. This role involves managing and executing structural scopes for substation projects from concept through IFC, including designing foundations for control enclosures, transformers, breakers, dead-ends, and other major HV equipment. You will play a key role in growing our High Voltage practice.
