Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Clearwater/Arizona is seeking a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist to develop and execute sourcing strategies, drive cost savings, and improve supplier performance.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, manage supplier relationships, and support production transitions for space, nav and sensors programs. The role requires 2+ years in integrated supply chain with sourcing focus in aerospace, SAP ERP proficiency, and US citizenship per export regulations.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in SAP ERP system.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Integrated Supply Chain with emphasis on Sourcing and New Product Integration in aerospace contexts.
  • US citizenship status required due to export control regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive new product sourcing strategy and supplier partnerships.
  • Engage with and select suppliers; drive negotiations and contract terms.
  • Manage suppliers to meet program requirements and transition development programs to production.
  • Ensure Early Supplier Engagement with Honeywell Design Engineering and ISC.
  • Collaborate across NPI teams including Buyers, ISC Engineering, Design Engineering, Program Managers and Quality.

Honeywell Aerospace’s New Product Introduction (NPI) Sourcing team is looking for top a notch procurement professional who is looking to make a difference helping get our Space, and Sensors and Navigation development programs start on the right track.

In this role, you will develop and drive new product sourcing strategy, develop supplier partnerships, engage with and select suppliers, drive negotiations, manage suppliers to meet program requirements and agreements, get new parts on contract, ensure our parts are producible, and help plan and drive transition of development programs to production.

You will help ensure our suppliers have a seat at the design table with Honeywell Design Engineering and Integrated Supplier Chain (ISC) through Early Supplier Engagement (ESE).

You will be a key contributor on development program’s Integrated Product Development Teams. You will work directly with NPI Buyers, ISC Engineering, Design Engineering, Program Managers, and Quality. You will report directly to the Director, NPI Sourcing, Space, Nav and Sensors.

This position is located in Clearwater, Florida or Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Expertise in Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • 2+ years’ experience in Integrated Supply Chain with emphasis on Sourcing and New Product Integration, specifically in aircraft, surface, missile navigation, sensors, and/or guidance systems Sourcing
  • Due to export control regulations, this position requires US citizenship status

  • Graduate Degrees in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration, or Engineering Discipline
  • Experience with subcontract compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements
  • Experience in aircraft, surface, or missile navigation, sensors, space electronics or guidance systems or space electronics with exposure to design, sourcing and manufacturing
  • Ability to maintain continuous in-depth knowledge of Aerospace market conditions, commodities, customers, suppliers, industry trends, and developing technologies
  • Experience in developing negotiation plans and conducting formal negotiations (price, schedule, payment terms, supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements, and standard Terms and Conditions) 3+ years of professional experience working within large matrixed organizations with a proven track record of innovation, delivery, and results
  • Experience helping drive an organization through change, including direct experience with engineering development-to-production electronic hardware transitions and supply chain transformation activities
  • Ability to contribute to knowledge management, continuous improvement, and organizational development to enable world class sourcing practices.
  • Ability to own and drive change, and influence and mentor others
  • Strong business acumen with exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience in project estimation, planning, and cost and schedule management techniques and tools.
  • Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to create effective relationships, influence prioritization, and collaborate at all organizational levels
  • Driving the execution of multi-stakeholder initiatives, providing direction when needed and removing obstacles to get work done
  • Ability to clearly hear and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills. The ability to coordinate and present to large groups and communicate project plans and expectations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up-like atmosphere. Ability to consistently make timely decisions while balancing conflicting goals in an ambiguous environment.
