Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a seasoned designer to shape the next generation of public safety applications. You will lead strategic research, define cross-product requirements, and collaborate with the Design System team to ensure a cohesive user experience across the ecosystem.

The role involves coaching design reviews, influencing product decisions, and enabling a safer world through thoughtful, system-wide design. Telecommuting 2–3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• Masters degree + 1 year experience required.
• Experience designing public safety apps is a plus.

Job Description

• Design and develop the next generation of public safety applications leveraging the power of design to inspire change and execute the vision to orchestrate product strategy, evolve design processes, ensure suite-wide consistency, and create functional and appealing product designs.
• Lead high-level research planning, framing the "North Star" experience vision to inspire stakeholders.
• Architect product strategy and define cross-product requirements and priorities with leadership.
• Build partnerships within the Design System team to evolve the system for the entire ecosystem.
• Coach designers and steer meaningful conversations in design reviews to ensure outcomes.
• Influence product-level decisions by helping partners understand impacts on the larger suite/ecosystem.
• Telecommuting permitted 2 to 3 days per week.

Target Base Salary Range: $82,056 to $150,000 USD
