About The Role
The Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager, Test Engineering leads cross‑functional efforts to continuously improve manufacturing tests across the product lifecycle. The role requires close collaboration with customers, core technology partners, and internal teams to solve technical challenges and drive execution.
What You’ll Do
- Define and drive long‑term test engineering and manufacturing test strategy across multiple programs or product lines, aligning with company‑level objectives.
- Own roadmap planning for test infrastructure, automation, and quality systems, including capacity scaling and future technology adoption.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment across design, quality, manufacturing, test, and supplier engineering to ensure scalable and production‑ready test solutions.
- Lead strategic engagements with key customers, suppliers, and partners to define joint technical roadmaps and resolve systemic challenges.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, customers, and external partners to resolve technical challenges and align priorities.
- Leverage data‑driven insights (e.g., root cause analysis, Time‑to‑Failure) to diagnose issues and implement sustainable improvements.
- Lead end‑to‑end test engineering programmes, driving continuous improvement across test yield, test infrastructure reliability, test execution efficiency, and overall product quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure test processes, changes, and issue resolutions are implemented with minimal disruption to production, maintaining stability and operational efficiency.
- Establish and enforce programme structure, metrics, and accountability across teams; proactively identify risks, remove blockers, and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Communicate programme status, risks, and key decisions clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
- Guide teams through complex trade‑offs, risk management, and decision‑making as a technical thought partner and programme leader.
- Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing test processes, ensuring measurable outcomes and operational efficiency gains.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience, with demonstrated impact at Staff+ level across multiple large‑scale programmes.
- Proven ability to define and execute engineering strategy at an organisational or multi‑product level.
- Track record of driving measurable business outcomes (cost, yield, quality, scalability).
- Demonstrated ability to drive alignment, hold teams accountable, and deliver results in fast‑paced environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience using data to drive decisions.
- Proven experience managing complex engineering projects from concept to production.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing test processes, test automation, and liquid cooling technology.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project) and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
Preferred Skills
- Experience defining test strategy for new product categories or emerging technologies.
- Experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with hardware/software integration testing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with global teams and customers.
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma certification, or advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) in a relevant field.
