Position Responsibilities:
  1. Formulate the marketing plan to support Illumina’s commercial goals in the sub-region.
  2. Develop go-to-market strategies and drive execution with clear milestones and action plans.
  3. Ensure marketing plans are relevant to the specific market and customers, aligning with Illumina’s strategies, product positioning, and branding.
  4. Develop a marketing tactics flight plan with Regional Field Marketing Programs, Events, Tradeshows, and Digital teams.
  5. Align activities and product/segment strategies internally, with clear metrics for delivery and effectiveness.
  6. Balance OpEx for plans with revenue commitments across the sub-region and region, collaborating with the Head of Regional Field Marketing.
  7. Assess customer pipeline KPIs in the sub-region by stage, aligned with regional business plan targets.
  8. Build and report on a target customer engagement plan with cross-functional teams.
  9. Adjust plans to meet targets, monitor KPIs, and maximize pipeline health and ROI.
  10. Collaborate within a matrixed organization as the sub-regional marketing point of contact across various functions.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or related field required.
  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred.
  • MBA is a plus.
Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 years in marketing within life sciences, genomics, or healthcare sectors.
  • 6+ years of people management or team/project leadership.
  • Proven success in strategic marketing, product launches, and demand generation.
  • Experience in highly matrixed, global organizations.
  • Familiarity with genetic technologies and their applications.
  • Background in business strategy, product management, consulting, or commercial roles is a plus.

The estimated base salary range for this role in the US is $152,600 - $228,800, dependent on qualifications, location, and other factors. Additional benefits include bonuses, equity, and comprehensive health and retirement plans.
