Chicken of the Sea International seeks a Senior Staff Accountant for its Los Angeles office, responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial analysis. The Senior Staff Accountant assists the accounting manager with full-cycle accounting and financial analysis. This position will support the senior accountants, accounting manager and varies director(s) of accounting/finance to ensure accuracy of accounting records and financial statements. The sr. staff accountant is responsible for processing financial data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IFRS, prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, assist with audit(s), prepare state tax and other regulatory filings, and assist in preparing and leading G&A budgets. The sr. staff accountant will protect the organization’s integrity by maintaining the company’s product and customer information confidential. Over time will be needed during quarterly/annual audit and month end. This is an in-office role in our El Segundo (Los Angeles) office and the pay range for annual base salary is 80-90K, depending on experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, communicate (typically by talking, listening, writing, and typing), move around the office to various locations for meetings and in-person gatherings, and reach or carry materials with arms and hands.
Moreover, the employee is required to operate telephones, computers and other standard office equipment. Employee may, on occasion, be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
