Sr. Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the CFO and Accounting department including examining, verifying, and consolidating income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, as well as completing monthly financial packages, quarterly bank covenants, and helping with year-end audits for future acquisitions in the NY/CT market.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a professional work environment.
  2. MBA/CPA desirable.
  3. Experience in a central business/billing operation, leading a team of Accounts Payable Specialists.
  4. High level of confidentiality is required.
  5. High energy, excellent multi-tasking skills, and demonstrated self-directed work ethic are required.
  6. Excellent computer skills; including Word, Excel, Power Point.
  7. Excellent attention to detail required along with good listening/interpersonal, and communication skills.
  8. Superior customer service skills.
  9. Research, resolve, and communicate discrepancies or outstanding balances on vendor accounts, including telephone, mail, or email correspondence.
  10. Consolidate monthly income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
  11. Payroll Review and approval.
  12. Commission Calculation.
  13. Help maintain and improve standard operating procedures for the department.
  14. Complete monthly financial packages.
  15. Conduct year-end audits.
  16. Track issues within the department and assist with remediation efforts.

Salary Range: $85K - $95K annually; EOE F/M/V/D; Job Type: Full-time

License/Certification:
