Cogent Infotech is seeking a Senior SQL & SSIS Developer for the Greater Denver Area. This permanent hybrid FTE requires onsite presence for the first 2-3 months, with continued remote options. You will lead data warehousing development, data modeling, and ETL efforts for a public sector client.

Ideal candidates have strong T-SQL, SSIS, and BI tooling experience, and will mentor junior developers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Senior SQL & ETL (SSIS) Developer to join our public sector client’s Enterprise Systems & Data Services team in a permanent, hybrid FTE role in the Greater Denver Area. In this position, you will lead complex product development, build robust data warehousing solutions, and architect high-impact enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

1. Architect, develop, test, and deploy complex relational databases and data solutions to ensure high performance and reliability.
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software and system issues to maintain continuous operational integrity.
3. Development and technical support for core operating systems and database management platforms.
4. Partner with cross-functional teams and clients through the full project lifecycle, establishing efficient production execution schedules.
5. Evaluate new software programs for optimal logic and accuracy while mentoring junior developers on programming tasks.
6. Conduct continuous systems analysis and modernization to align data infrastructure with evolving technologies.
7. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation across modular code, system architectures, and database configurations.
8. Design and deliver tailored system and technical training sessions to empower end-users and stakeholders.
9. Execute additional technical and enterprise data initiatives as needed.

• Data Modeling & Architecture: Advanced knowledge of logical/physical data modelling (e.g., Analysis Server), 2-tiered/3-tiered architectures, and Data Mart design.
• Database & ETL: Expertise in T-SQL, relational database theory, ETL (SSIS) toolsets, and OLAP technologies.
• Business Intelligence: Hands-on experience with Crystal Reports and Microsoft BI tools.
• Infrastructure & Systems: Solid understanding of servers, mainframes, networks, and general operating environments.
