Job summary

Insight Global in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a contractor to support 700 production Microsoft SQL Server databases, performing tracing, blocking identification, performance tuning, and tuning of SQL commands and stored procedures.

The role involves handling database access requests and writing/updating SSRS reports and SSIS packages, with a hybrid work arrangement: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator.
• Strong SQL Server experience and SSMS proficiency.
• Experience with HA technologies and data lake platforms.
• Proficiency in writing T-SQL and SSIS/SSRS.
• Experience with monitoring and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage 700 production SQL Server databases performance and tuning.
• Handle database access requests and security.
• Develop and support SSRS reports and SSIS packages.
• Perform SQL tracing, blocking detection, and query optimization.
• Hybrid work: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

This large municipality is looking for a contractor to help with the ongoing support of our 700 Production Microsoft SQL Server databases. This Includes SQL tracing, blocking identification and performance turning also Tuning of SQL commands and stored procedures. This person will also be Handling access requests for databases. They willl be Writing/updating Microsoft SSRS reports as well as Writing/supporting Microsoft SSIS packages. This will be a hybrid role 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
