This position is for a Software Application Engineer who will contribute to the development of technical solutions within a distributed Java-based application ecosystem using micro-frontend and microservices architectural patterns. The role involves building skills in web platform engineering with Angular (including RxJS, state management, and component architecture) to help deliver high-performance, accessible, and secure client experiences.
As a member of the Sales & Service Technology organization, this role provides hands‑on engineering support to help build scalable, resilient, and high‑quality systems that support key business capabilities. The engineer will follow established front‑end engineering standards for Angular applications- including design systems, module federation/micro‑frontends, performance budgets, accessibility (WCAG), observability, CI/CD quality gates, and testing strategy.
The applicant will participate alongside engineering teams through the software development lifecycle—from solution design and architectural alignment (Java back‑end services and Angular front‑end integration) through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing support across the Sales & Service Technology portfolio. This includes learning and applying Angular best practices, following enterprise architecture guidelines, and contributing to delivery goals across agile teams.
This role collaborates with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and technology partners across Schwab. The engineer is expected to support technical initiatives, assist with cross‑team coordination, and contribute to the development of enterprise‑grade Angular user interfaces integrated with Java‑based services.
