Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience and proficiency in web-based technologies.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, NoSQL, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML/CSS, Angular, RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, including algorithms and data structures.
  • Analytical problem-solving and passion for solving problems with innovation and experimentation.

Schwab is seeking a dynamic .NET and Angular UI results-oriented Software Development Associate with a passion for technology, innovation, and excellence. The candidate will work aside a team of seasoned engineers whose main objective is to maintain all aspects of the overall software development lifecycle and ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software product releases.

This position will be part of Digital Onboarding at Schwab and we will focus on driving client-centricity, reducing time to market & increasing efficiency. The model is insights-driven and focuses on rapid iterations to drive innovation and transformation. What you’ll do:

  • Apply software development standards, processes, and methods independently to develop, test and verify software components ensuring reliability and resolving operation problems and bugs for projects.
  • Work closely with team members and product owners to decompose stories into components, designing components/features, and prioritize tasks.
  • Provide hands-on development on problems of moderate to complex scope that requires a variety of factors in the analysis of functional requirements, trends, or data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop software solutions following established practices, standards, processes, and methods to develop, test, and verify software components ensuring reliability and addressing operational issues and bugs.
  • Apply best practices of software development, unit testing and integrations ensuring delivery of high-quality code that is stable, reliable, and secured.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Software-development, quality standards and work independently with minimum support and guidance.
  • Communicate proactively and clearly, consistently keeping the team well informed about development tasks, plans, and essential information.
What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Experience and demonstrate proficiency in web-based technologies
  • Demonstrate ability in at least one of the following technologies: C#, .NET, NoSQL, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML / CSS, Angular, RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, including algorithms and data structures
  • Good analytical problem-solving and passion for solving problems while embracing innovation and experimentation
  • Optimism and curiosity, who possess a keen sense of purpose, awareness, and knowledge.
  • Resourcefulness and flexibility, who enjoy working through cross-functional partnerships and collaboration to achieve a common purpose
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within Agile, cross-functional teams
  • Curiosity and interest in applying AI tools and technologies to software development
  • Learning agility and a growth mindset, with the ability to receive feedback, adapt, and continuously develop new technical skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations.
Preferred Skills:
  • Good understanding of latest Architecture and Development Standards and Guidelines
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or related technologies
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, Scrum practices, and requirements tracking tools such as Jira
  • Independently plans own work and are accountable to meet schedules and deliverables

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
