Key Responsibilities
Budget Development & Financial Planning
  • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, cash‑flow plans, contingencies, and reconciliations aligned with project milestones.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, scenario analyses, and spend projections to support decision‑making during studies, construction, and ramp‑up phases.
  • Align budget planning with annual and multi‑year capital spend targets (e.g., $165M in 2026 and significantly increasing in 2027).
Cost Tracking & Performance Monitoring
  • Monitor actual spend versus budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely, accurate reporting of expenditures across engineering, operations, procurement, and site teams.
  • Review and validate invoices, POs, contracts, and cost coding for proper accounting alignment.
  • Maintain integrated cost‑control systems and ensure data accuracy between SAP, TM1, Hyperion, and project management tools.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
  • Produce regular cost performance dashboards, variance reports, and executive‑level summaries.
  • Support financial sections of conceptual, pre‑feasibility, and feasibility studies.
  • Facilitate budget review meetings and workshops to help project teams understand cost drivers and spending patterns.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct cost‑related risk assessments, including inflation and supply‑chain impacts.
  • Identify potential cost overruns early and drive mitigation strategies with project leadership.
  • Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement of budgeting and project control methodologies.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Site Services, Geology, Procurement, Finance, and contractor teams to gather cost data and deliver accurate project reporting.
  • Coordinate with corporate groups (Project Services, Global Procurement, Finance, Legal) to ensure consistent processes and adherence to AGA standards.
  • Support Nevada Projects leadership by providing actionable financial insights and real‑time cost visibility.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license (field and site travel required).
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros/VBA, financial models).
  • Experience with ERP and cost‑management systems (SAP, Oracle, Contruent, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Understanding of project cost‑management principles, rolling forecasts, and scenario‑based reporting.
  • Ability to integrate data from tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Basic SQL/Power Query skills for data automation and multi‑source data pulls.
  • Strong analytical skills with sound judgment and ability to prioritize work independently.
  • Understanding of mining project value drivers and capital project workflows.
