Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a talented Integration and Test Engineer to support the design, documentation, and deployment of microwave systems and services. This engineer will drive and champion the test and evaluation processes for all test-related activities within mission-critical programs and be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and enforcement of test processes. As an I&T Engineer, you will be working to help support the global aviation community with advanced systems and services that significantly increase the safety, security, and capacity of global air traffic management systems to meet the growing demand of air transportation operations.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide daily automated & manual test engineering support (troubleshooting complex operational issues, performing root cause analysis, working with network devices and management platforms) to mission critical GOV/DOD customers.
2. Coordinate with the project lead as required to close project actions and issues.
3. Automate the integration testing of hardware and software system components within a lab environment.
4. Automate software build, enhancement, and regression tests, including providing automation performance metrics.
5. Automate existing manual test procedures.
6. Develop test scenarios, build automation tests, and conduct acceptance tests for Level 2 requirements of software applications and hardware.
7. Troubleshoot test automation issues.
8. Work daily with Engineers & Technicians to troubleshoot system issues.
9. Recognize and identify opportunities to introduce automation in the testing process, design and implement solutions to exploit those opportunities.
10. Identify process improvement opportunities and report up to the project lead.
11. Design, architect, and test automation scripts in the GUI layer and the API (Service) layers of the Test Pyramid for web applications and desktop applications.
12. Troubleshoot complex system-related issues, performing root cause analysis, and correcting issues in hardware, software, and communications systems.
13. Obtain and continue to hold an FAA Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
2. Minimum 4 years of experience:

• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, TestComplete, JUnit, etc.
• Programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Scripting languages such as JavaScript, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Scripting and test automation experience using testing frameworks, TestNG, Robot framework.
• Linux systems.

Preferred Additional Skills:

1. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
2. Experience with integration of solutions into mixed on-premises and Cloud environments.
3. Experience applying data analytics to enable risk-based decision making and efficient system operations.
4. Working knowledge of Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket and add-ons such as Zephyr Scale test management tools.
5. Experience with SQL and database testing to validate data integrity and accuracy.
6. Advanced knowledge of version control systems like Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
7. Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies.
8. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Ability to think critically and creatively to identify potential issues and solutions.
10. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
