PCN is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for its Austin, TX-based platform team. You will work with banks and partners to build integrations to our payment platform and extend the capabilities of our public API, driving growth through partnerships.

You will provide technical guidance, define solutions, and contribute to feature design and API exposure, collaborating with Implementations, Product, and Engineering to scale the platform across North America.

Formación

• 6+ years in customer-facing engineering roles in financial services or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with API design and integration patterns.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering and sales teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical consulting and product guidance to banks and partners integrating the platform, primarily post-sale.
• Ensure partners deliver the best possible integration within constraints, for an excellent end-customer experience.
• Support partners through implementation, defining technical solutions and documenting requirements.
• Support business development by helping larger partners with novel features, including technical scoping and feature design.
• Take part in feature definition, prioritisation and long-term strategy planning with the platform team.
• Work with Implementation Managers, Product Managers and Engineers to make product and project decisions.
• Design and develop new features and expose them on the public API where needed.
• Help scale the platform into new regions and solve the challenges that come with it.
• Improve the integration experience through documentation, APIs, SDKs, code samples and reference implementations.
• Work with the technical presales team to support the sales cycle and win new partnerships.
• Improve internal processes so the team can run multiple integrations in parallel.
• Troubleshoot, test and resolve technical issues, supporting the API support team on complex problems

Through its API platform, it partners with financial institutions and major technology companies to offer its payment products and services directly to their customers.

The role

We're looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join the company's growing platform team in Austin, Texas.

Solutions Engineers work with partners to build integrations to the company's payment products, while extending the capabilities of its public API. The team's goal is to drive growth through partnerships and integrations by building a world-class product set delivered through third parties.

What you will do

What we're looking for

• 6+ years in customer-facing engineering roles, ideally in financial services or a similar domain (for example solutions engineer, IT consultant, partner engineer, integration engineer or solutions consultant)
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to handle ambiguity and competing priorities
• Familiarity with common design patterns and architectural principles, including domain-driven design, event-driven architecture and microservices
• Familiarity with Java (Spring), Kubernetes, AWS and service mesh architectures, plus RESTful APIs, API design, Swagger/OpenAPI and OAuth2
• Working experience with relational databases (such as MySQL or PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (such as MongoDB or Cassandra)
• Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
