Job summary

Caseware is seeking a Sr. Solutions Consultant to advise complex customers on evaluating and implementing Caseware products, leveraging AI-powered capabilities and integrations with tools like JSON, GitHub and Claude Code.

You will collaborate with product, professional services and account teams to translate customer needs into actionable product roadmaps and successful migrations. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing or implementing software solutions for accounting OR 4+ years of external audit/review/engagement experience.
• Strong interest in AI-powered development capabilities and applying AI to workflows.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Sr. Solutions Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Solutions Consultant to join our team at Caseware, a leading SaaS organization. As a Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting our larger customers, that have custom and complex needs, to successfully evaluate Caseware solutions. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, working collaboratively with accounting firms and organizations as they navigate critical decisions around technology modernization.

By taking a consultative approach, you will be their partner to understand their technology ecosystem and needs, and help develop an appropriate product offering and implementation pathway that achieves their objectives. You will also liaise with team members in product, account management, training and professional services to help ensure customer needs are addressed on a timely basis, and professionally.

What you will be doing:

• Partner with our Account Managers and other Solution Consultants in helping our most complex customers evaluate and plan to implement Caseware products.
• Lead technical evaluation activities including presentations, pilots and proof of concepts, sharing expertise on solutions and best practices with customers, while coordinating with technical or product SMEs where appropriate.
• Understand customers' technology ecosystem and business needs, scope specific configuration and customization requirements, and partner with others to define actions to successfully address them.
• Advising customers on architectural, authoring and custom development capabilities and tools, and the best way to utilize them to meet their needs. This includes advising on Caseware AI powered development capabilities, including utilizing JSON, GitHub and Claude code.
• Support customer evaluations, providing information on tools, processes and resources to customers, and helping to ensure timelines and tasks remain on track.
• Act as the bridge between customers and Product teams, gathering and translating customer feedback into clear, actionable insights that inform product development while helping prospects understand how our roadmap addresses their business needs.
• Strategize with customers on their migration journey from their existing accounting and audit tools, and work with our Professional Services teams and partners to ensure they have a clear direction and key requirements are addressed.
• Attendance at Conferences, Events, and onsite workshops. maintaining relationships with customers and staying up to date with industry standards and trends. Depending on customer needs, the role may require up to 10% travel.
• Design and implementation of processes and systems to support the delivery of consistent, scalable services.

What you will bring:

• At least 4 years' experience designing, developing or implementing software solutions for the accounting industry OR at least 4 years experience performing External Audit, Review or Compilation engagements
• Understanding of, or strong interest in, utilizing AI-powered software development capabilities, with the ability to strategize and discuss how AI can be applied to key workflows with customers and prospects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Effective communicator with ability to understand and interpret stakeholder needs.
• Strong organization skills with experience tracking and managing multiple deliverables and tasks.
• A resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment where initiative and problem-solving skills are required.

Preferred:

• Expertise in cloud-based software development, including JavaScript and JSON fundamentals, with Git-based version control proficiency. Practical experience utilizing AI tools e.g., Claude Code for development.
• Direct experience authoring in CaseWare solutions, and/or utilizing CaseWare to create financial statements or perform engagements.
• CPA, Charted Accountant or equivalent, with 3+ years Audit or Accounting experience.
• Experience leading technology adoption, training, methodology, or other innovation efforts in an accounting firm.
• Experience developing or maintaining audit methodologies, templates, or professional guidance.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, AI or related field.
• Experience and/or qualifications in project, product or program management.
• Deep understanding of accounting, financial processes and technologies.
• Product, Product Marketing, Sales experience, or experience working closely with those functional teams.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (E.g., Salesforce).
• Experience documenting internal processes and identifying/implementing efficiency or quality improvements.
