Job summary

Presidio, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team in the New York and/or New Jersey area. You will provide high‑level solution designs and lead pre‑sales activities across multiple key account teams.

We value deep technical expertise in storage, virtualization, compute, converged systems, and cloud, with the ability to align with vendors and deliver industry‑leading services and proposals. This senior role emphasizes leadership, client trust, and ongoing skill expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
• 7+ years of experience demonstrating significant expertise in storage, virtualization, compute, converged, cloud, and/or related technologies/services.
• Work experience with relevant OEM manufacturers and/or IT solution providers/VARs/partners.
• Operational and design skills related to software‑defined data center (SDDC) products and technologies such as DELL EMC storage systems, DELL EMC backup solutions, Pure Storage, NetApp, HPE, Vast Data, VMWare ESXi, vCenter, NSX, Nutanix Acropolis (KVM), and Dell servers.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers and collect requirements.
• Work with account manager/sales team to develop customer relationships and solutions, assisting in overall sales process.
• Create high‑level solution designs/architecture and present them to customers.
• Create customer‑facing presentations.
• Articulate strategies in group settings.
• Create a bill of materials and configurations for solutions.
• Build scope of services and professional service pricing.
• Write SoWs (Statement of Works).

Senior Solutions Architect

Presidio is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team in the New York and/or New Jersey area.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide top‑notch technical expertise in their areas of focus supporting multiple key account teams across the organization.
• Gain the trust of our clients through deep subject matter expertise, undoubted integrity, leadership, and professionalism.
• Drive services sales in their specific area of focus.
• Tightly align with our services teams (PS, MS, NFS, PMO, OSS) by communicating pre‑sales approaches and providing appropriate leadership during projects/SRs.
• Provide industry‑best services to our AMs, leading them when appropriate and following when necessary, delivering quality pre‑sales material such as BoMs, SoWs, design commentary, vendor information, diagrams, rough order‑of‑magnitude documents, etc.
• Continuously learn and expand skills to serve clients fully and maintain relevance as the IT market transforms.
• Align with vendor partnerships, understand, and help execute specific vendor programs.
• Provide leadership to clients as they operate and transform their businesses by proactively introducing technical solutions.
• Sell consultatively by listening and developing sales conversations to uncover client needs, then propose solutions as a trusted advisor.
• Lead, where appropriate, with our highest value offerings – managed services, consulting, etc.
• Understand the full range of Presidio’s capabilities, paying attention to those held by other practices and national teams.
• Share best practices and industry intelligence with other team members.
• Support other team members as needed.
• Assist with pipeline tracking.
• Determine and promote the best PS vehicle (FF Sow vs SR) to ensure successful execution with clients.
• Create and maintain industry relevance by participating in industry‑specific events and attending OEM and customer events.
• Maintain long‑term lifecycle strategy relationships with clients, owning their success and adding value.
