We actively seek a Sr. Solution Engineer. (Pre-Sales, SAP)This is a remote position and is based in the West Coast.

Position Summary

This role is primarily responsible for supporting sales activities across the US West Region with additional support provided to the broader United States.

TheSr. Solution Engineer, ( Pre-Sales, SAP) articulates Rimini’s solution portfolio and value proposition to clients and prospects serving as trusted advisors while providing deep SAP product-specific functional and technical expertise to drive sales.

In this role, you will directly engage in SAP sales opportunities, actively participate in customer meetings and work closely with our Senior Account Executives to respond to our customers’ business needs and challenges.

The Sr.Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales, SAP) also acts as the primary conduit to the internal Delivery and Strategic Services teams. You will leverage your existing technical and functional knowledge in working with all SAP products within our organization. Using this experience, you would articulate the strategy and direction for all SAP products that is supported by Rimini Street.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales Account Executives on SAP sales opportunities in US West Region during the sales cycle contributing to the sales process to close deals.
  • Engage with clients to understand their SAP Roadmap and position Rimini Solution Portfolio to address clients` challenges based on business case/ROI and risk assessment.
  • Drive pre-sales activity during sales cycle activities including solution scoping, functional/technical Q&A, solution design, pricing calculation, proposal development, RFP and presentations to prospects and clients.
  • Contribute to the company wide initiatives in support of the growth and profitability of the SAP product lines.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time to support sales deals in their territory.
  • Some travel outside your geography in support of global initiatives.

ExperienceQualifications & Skills

  • Significant experience in a Pre-Sales Engineering Role or Pre-Sales Solution Engineer role working within the SAP Applications ecosystem – Software and/or Services supporting the sales cycle and proven track record contributing to close deals.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in a “consultative selling” environment with a history of working in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Extensive experience in solutioning SAP ECC/Business Suite, SAP S/4 HANA support and managed services.
  • Extensive experience in solutioning SAP HANA DB, SAP ASE (Sybase) Database and SAP Business Objects support and managed services.
  • Extensive experience in solutioning SAP with RISE, SAP S/4HANA Cloud and other SAP Cloud Products (SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Ariba, SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Concur, SAP Fieldglass, SAP S4/Hana Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.).
  • Experience in creating proposals for Managed Services and estimating staffing and costs is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP Security and related industry security standards such as PCI, NERC, CIP is a plus.
  • Experience with Service NOW is a plus.
