About the Role

As a Sr. Solution Consultantwithin our Public Sector team focused on the SLED vertical, you will be the technical voice of Socure throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to government and education agencies, aligning Socure’s identity verification platform with their mission-critical needs around fraud prevention, access control, compliance, and citizen service delivery.

Working closely with sales, data science, product, and marketing, you’ll tailor solutions, lead demonstrations, support RFP responses, and ensure technical success from first meeting through onboarding. You will also serve as a cross-functional connector, translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders internally and externally.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the Sales team to support SLED business development, including product demos, solution design, and SOWs.

  • Lead technical discovery and translate agency pain points into clear product value propositions.

  • Design and execute Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) in collaboration with Data Science to showcase Socure’s platform impact.

  • Serve as the day-to-day technical expert during the sales cycle and early implementation stages.

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback from the SLED market and influence product direction.

  • Support adoption and expansion by monitoring usage and sharing SLED-specific best practices and recommendations.

  • Translate complex data and ML outcomes into clear, actionable insights for public sector audiences.

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., sales engineering, professional services, solutions consulting).

  • Experience supporting or selling to public sector customers (state/local agencies).

  • Familiarity with government procurement processes, compliance requirements, and digital transformation trends.

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication skills — able to present technical topics to non-technical SLED stakeholders.

  • Comfort working with modern technologies: REST APIs, ML models, data analytics, cloud platforms, RDBMS, etc.

  • Experience with identity, fraud, risk, or regulatory tech (FCRA, GLBA, Patriot Act, etc.) a strong plus.

  • Self-starter attitude with a passion for public impact and mission-driven work.

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $150,000-180,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus. This position is eligible for a generous sales incentive bonus.
