Sr. Software Test Engineer

Employer: ABIOMED, Inc. Location: Danvers, MA. Job Type: Full-Time. Rate of Pay: $120,000 - $136,000/year. This job posting is anticipated to close on 10/14/2026.

Job Duties:

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases and protocols to verify software system design.
• Collaborate with software developers and other engineers to further enhance the capabilities of the test automation framework.
• Work with DevOps engineers to create new Jenkins jobs, test setups, and pipelines for continuous integration testing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and technicians to design and develop test fixtures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior test engineers.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr Software Test Engineer-related occupation.
• Experience with: Manual, automated, regression, integration, and performance testing; Programming language: Python; Automation tool: Behave; Bug tracking systems: Jira; CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins for testing integration; Using Git for code management.

• Vacation -120 hours per calendar year

• Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
• Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
• Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
• Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period
