Job summary

Imperative Care seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Applications, to join our Campbell, CA office. You will design and implement software for our robotic platform, focusing on high-performance, real-time visualization, embedded technology, and robust testing within a cross-functional team.

The role requires a strong background in C++, multi-threaded apps, and desktop UI development (Qt/QML, PyQt, OpenGL, or similar). Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field; 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong background in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience with C++ programming and multi-threaded applications.
• Experience in desktop UI development (Qt/QML, PyQt, OpenGL, Unity, GTK, WPF, or similar).
• Experience with other programming languages such as Python or Rust.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

This position is based in our Campbell, California offices. This position is on-site & full-time

What You’ll Do

The Senior Software Engineer uses solid knowledge and experience to contribute to the design and implementation of software applications, embedded technology, or algorithms to our robotic platform. As a key contributor to the software team, this position develops and tests robust, reliable and scalable software infrastructure. This position works as a member of a cross functional team to create software solutions based on clinical and user requirements.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field and minimum 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.


• Strong background in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design pattern

Salary Range: $169,000 – 192,000 annually
