Job summary

Speria is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the R&D team, delivering multifaceted enterprise applications for a diverse international client base. You’ll design and build backend services, internal libraries, and observability-focused components using .NET/ASP.NET Core and Azure.

The role emphasizes cloud-native patterns on Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend Angular tooling, along with design reviews, mentoring, and a focus on reliability and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level CS or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years building production software with strong C#/ .NET.
• Azure experience including App Service/Functions, Service Bus, Storage, SQL/Cosmos.
• Solid design fundamentals (DDD, SOLID) and async/distributed systems.
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps pipelines and environments.
• Security/auth: OAuth 2.0/OIDC, service-to-service auth, secrets management.
• Proficient written/spoken English for specs and cross-team collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Design and build backend services and internal libraries in .NET/ASP.NET Core;

• Build quick POCs for agents/workflows using Semantic Kernel (function calling, plugins, tool orchestration, prompt/version management, RAG).

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in CS or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years building production software; strong C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core, Web APIs).

• Azure experience with at least two: App Service/Functions, Service Bus/Queues,

Storage, Azure SQL (EF Core), Cosmos DB, Key Vault.

• Solid software design fundamentals (DDD where it helps, SOLID), async/distributed

systems, and performance profiling.

• CI/CD with Azure DevOps (pipelines, environments

• Practical security/auth: OAuth 2.0/OIDC, service-to-service auth, secrets

management.

• Proficient written/spoken English for specs, design reviews, and cross-team

collaboration

Nice to have

• Semantic Kernel in production (plugins/tools, agentic patterns), Azure OpenAI or other

LLM providers; RAG with Azure AI Search

• Angular (v15+), RxJS, Nx; Ionic for mobile.

• Messaging & jobs: NServiceBus, Azure Service Bus, Hangfire/Durable Functions.

• Observability: Application Insights, OpenTelemetry.
