Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET.

Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer experienced in C#/.NET to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-enabled applications. The role focuses on backend development with strong SQL and Azure skills, delivering robust APIs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality software. You will work across the full development lifecycle from requirements and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and the .NET platform.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas and queries in SQL; ensure data integrity and performance.
• Build, document, and consume RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Deploy and operate applications in Azure using services such as App Services, Functions, and Service Bus; monitor and troubleshoot cloud-hosted systems.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions and deliverables.
• Write unit and integration tests, perform code reviews, and maintain high quality through automated testing and static analysis.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Use Entity Framework and LINQ (when applicable) to model data access and implement efficient data operations.
• Profile and optimize application performance, apply caching strategies, and resolve production incidents.
• Document designs, APIs, runbooks, and operational procedures; provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework with proven production experience.
• Solid experience with SQL (querying, schema design, performance tuning) and working knowledge of relational databases.
• Practical experience building and consuming APIs and integrating backend services with JavaScript-based frontends.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and deploying applications to Azure App Services, Functions, or similar.
• Familiarity with modern web development concepts and JavaScript; TypeScript experience is a plus.
• Experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+ and building cross-platform services (nice to have).
• Familiarity with Entity Framework and LINQ for data access (nice to have).
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful services and API versioning (nice to have).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and pipeline automation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar) (nice to have).
• Experience with messaging and integration patterns such as Azure Service Bus (nice to have).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation.
