TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with AI expertise to serve as an AI Coach. You will guide development teams through hands-on coaching, demonstrating how to leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and other internal AI solutions, to streamline workflows and improve software quality.

The role blends client-facing activities with collaboration among TEKsystems coaches to ensure aligned value for our clients.

Description

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with AI expertise to join our team as an AI Coach. This unique role combines technical excellence with strong communication and mentoring skills. You will guide development teams through hands‑on coaching sessions, demonstrating how to effectively leverage AI tools including GitHub Copilot and other internally developed AI solutions. Your mission is to empower developers, showcase practical use cases, and prove how AI can streamline workflows, improve productivity, and enhance software quality. Collaboration with a great can do positive attitude with an emphasis on being solution oriented are non-negotiables. This role will be a blend of client facing while conducting coaching, and then also huddling with your peer and leader coaches to ensure uniform alignment that is adding value for our client for the duration of project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Coaching & Enablement

• Conduct interactive coaching sessions with developers to demonstrate AI tools and best practices.
• Advocate for AI adoption by illustrating tangible benefits and real‑world applications.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for integrating AI into existing development processes.
• Must have experience and enjoy leading or coaching developers on AI best practices.

Technical Leadership

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify AI-driven solutions.
• Provide guidance on AI frameworks, APIs, and model deployment strategies.
• Troubleshoot and optimize AI implementations for performance and scalability.

Tool Evangelism

• Showcase developed AI tools & ensure developers understand their capabilities.
• Collect feedback from teams to improve usability and adoption rates.
• Must be able to "meet our clients" where they are at, meaning often times these developers are more JR (tenure or even longer tenured devs) and have created bad SDLC habits, we have to be able AND willing with a positive attitude help them in order to help them understand how the AI tools work efficiently.
• Ability to maintain and enhance internally developed AI tools and assets, incorporating client feedback to improve their functionality and value.

Executive Presence

• Must have experience managing up to executive leadership through great verbal/written communication (progress reporting & frequent status updates).
• Must have the ability to be audible ready to present information in both summarized top level and deeper diving technical aspects where needed -
• Must be able to create and update PowerPoint presentations.

Continuous Learning

• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
• Share insights, industry best practices and thought leadership within the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Client prefers resources to live in Dallas, Atlanta, New Jersey, Seattle or St Louis - however if we find a great resource outside of those markets, we can hire them but they HAVE to be willing to Travel up to twice a month (2-3 day trips) to Dallas, Atlanta, St Louis, Seattle, or New Jersey.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in: Java Javascript (Typescript) React and Angular for frontend/backend applications Python
• Agentic AI is a must have (1-2 year minimum MUST HAVE)
• Hands‑on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI integration into enterprise applications.
• Proven ability to lead workshops, training sessions, or technical enablement programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and inspire developers.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Understanding of MLOps, model deployment, and monitoring.

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
