Job summary

Globe Life in McKinney, TX is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications using AWS, serverless architectures, REST APIs, and relational/non-relational databases.

You will write efficient C# .NET code, develop T-SQL procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software. This hybrid role offers in-office Tuesdays–Thursdays with WFH on Mondays and Fridays, a path for technical growth,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in C# .NET development, with ASP.NET Web Forms / MVC experience.
• Advanced SQL Server/T-SQL development and optimization with SSIS/SSRS and IICS Informatica.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Hands-on AWS Cloud Services experience (Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, SNS).
• Proficiency with GitHub and Agile/Scrum, ability to work independently.
• Preferred experience with Python and JIRA.

Role Overview:

Could you be our next Sr. Software Developer? Globe Life is looking for a Sr. Software Developer to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable serverless architectures, REST APIs, and database solutions using SQL Server, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB. This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX. (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

What You Can Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of delivering cloud-based solutions in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in C# .NET development, with preferred experience in ASP.NET Web Forms / MVC.
• Advanced SQL Server/T-SQL database development and optimization skills, with preferred experience in SSIS/SSRS and IICS Informatica.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, including several of the following: Lambda, Aurora (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM (Roles/Policies), Step Functions, EventBridge (Buses/Rules/Scheduler), API Gateway, SQS, and SNS.
• Proficiency with GitHub for version control and Agile/Scrum methodologies, with the ability to work independently across multiple priorities.
• Preferred experience with Python programming and JIRA.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
