Navan, Inc. is seeking a senior frontend engineering leader to shape and build the next generation of our Edge frontend systems.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality, scalable frontend features while maintaining a hands-on coding role. You’ll collaborate across teams to drive frontend performance, reliability, and developer experience, mentoring engineers and writing impactful code for complex UI components, front-to-back features,

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on application design with application development teams.

• Understand how key technical decisions will drive business outcomes and deliver frameworks and platforms that improve delivery with high-quality to those outcomes.
• Able to work in full stack development as well. Knowledge of backend systems is a plus.
• Own features end to end, from collaborating with product, designers, and shipping features and monitoring impacts.
• Perform design and code reviews of other engineers at Navan.
• Establish credibility with smart engineers quickly.
• Build developer frameworks that improve velocity, code quality and health.
• Front end operations: reliability, performance, instrumentation and measurability.
• Identify areas for improvement in frontend systems and pipelines.
• Define approach for application performance monitoring and improvement.
• Mentor engineers on best practices and patterns.

This is a very unique role that combines the small team feeling of a startup launching a brand new product, with the perks, opportunity size, and impact of an established company. Our team is building the next big thing, from scratch, but all within the hyper-growth context of Navan. You have a chance to heavily impact the roadmap of a nascent product and organization.

As a technical leader and contributor on the Edge team, you will partner closely with other engineers to drive change and improve frontend systems and developer experience. Although you will be at one of our highest levels of seniority, all individual contributors are expected to be hands on and contribute code.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate on application design with application development teams

The posted pay range represents theanticipatedlow and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets.

Pay Range

$113,400 — $252,000 USD
