We support IT applications and infrastructure for federal and state agencies. We are growing and adding a new team to support our government vertical. Job Description

As a Sr. Engineer of Software Development and Engineering, you will support our new Comcast Business Public Sector Line of Business (LOB). Your responsibilities include designing software and web applications, testing, integration, documentation, training, and tracking performance metrics. You will act as a key contributor, potentially leading teams or projects, and sharing expertise.

Core Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and analyze integration needs.
2. Design, support, and customize software and web applications; support software rollouts.
3. Train junior engineers on software applications.
4. Document technical requirements, evaluation plans, test results, and manuals.
5. Stay current with technological developments; evaluate industry applications and products.
6. Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
7. Track and evaluate performance metrics; ensure timely, on-specification, within-budget delivery.
8. Coordinate with QA to verify applications meet specifications.
9. Apply engineering methodologies, concepts, and skills effectively.
10. Design and improve processes; defend architectural and technical decisions.

Skills & Requirements

1. College degree in business or technical field, or equivalent experience.
2. 5+ years experience with CSG Singleview / Encompass Billing Platform as a solution designer or SME.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Familiarity with Oracle, RHEL, Web Services.
5. Experience with billing platforms and operations.
6. Programming skills in SQL, C++, Perl, PL/SQL, JavaScript.
7. Professional interaction skills across all company levels.
8. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
9. Advanced SQL, ad-hoc reporting, and billing system experience.
10. Detail-oriented and committed to continuous learning.

Public Sector Skills & Requirements

• Pass Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) security clearance or similar.
