Sr. Software Engineer - API Development (remote)

Job Summary

The Software Engineer III is responsible for building stable, scalable, and high-performance cloud-native API applications using modern database technologies. You will work within an Agile team to ensure technical standards are met and contribute to continuous improvement of code and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop client-side and server-side components, integrating RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Leverage programming languages such as Java; understanding of Python is a plus.
  • Work with open-source databases, NoSQL technologies, and cloud platforms like Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Participate in Agile development, focusing on clean coding, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and support API and database enhancements.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize database-backed applications, troubleshooting and tuning performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Mentor other engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Minimum Requirements
  • 7+ years of full-stack experience designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications, with proficiency in Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA.
  • 3+ years of front-end experience with React.
  • Experience managing API security and monitoring, familiarity with XML, JSON.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, OCI), DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Strong database design and optimization skills (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and Snowflake performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, MSSQL, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, and monitoring tools like AppDynamics and Kibana.
  • Version control with Git.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $110K - $150K, plus health insurance, 401k, bonus, and other benefits. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, parental leave, stock purchase plan, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, flexible spending, and employee assistance programs.
