This is a remote role with the ideal candidate location being in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.

How I will contribute

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Business Intelligence team, you will help the team in developing Cloud native applications, and the productization of BI solutions. You will work closely with product owners, architects, and developers across the organization. You are up for the challenges of integrating greenfield development with existing infrastructure. Humble, passionate, collaborative, and entrepreneurial thriving in a dynamic and fast-growing tech company. Work with our team on some of the world's top tech as we innovate the HCM industry. You are a part of a product application development team working on Payroll & Tax, Time & Attendance, and Human Resources. Actualizing our product roadmap; you own technical output. Providing empathy for our user base and collaboration with peers across the organization with: software engineering teams, product managers, operations and our executive team. You support the growth and success of our business through best-in-class software products for our clients.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop and maintain event driven cloud native HCM software
2. Maintain customer focus and understand your team's charter
3. Write testable, readable, maintainable and efficient code
4. Collaborate with your team on best practices, effective code reviewing and continual process improvements
5. Contribute in scrum ceremonies including the daily stand up, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and sprint reviews

Our technology stack: React, Vue.js, .NET Core/Framework, Python, Telerik, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Cloud-based infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS SQL Server, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development related field, or similar work experience
2. Experience working with Python and AWS (e.g. AWS Glue, AWS Lambda)
3. Experience with application observability, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tools
4. Strong SQL experience and exposure to data engineering and ETL processes
5. Experience creating dashboards and reports with BI tools is a must (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, AWS QuickSight)
6. Experience specifically with AWS Quicksight is a bonus
7. 5+ years of work history with production engineering experience, in a SaaS software environment
