How you can make a difference

With limited supervision from Software Engineering leadership, this position is responsible for building and implementing creative and effective software solutions for our customers. Senior Software Engineers research, analyze, design, build, test, maintain and improve critical applications and functionality for our core platforms. Senior Software Engineers also play an important technical leadership and mentorship role within the Software Engineering organization.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design, develop and deliver high-quality optimally functioning software solutions.
  • Analyze and select appropriate technology that meets user needs while being scalable, efficient, and secure, while following company and industry best practices.
  • Write and implement efficient clean code that meets stated requirements while adhering to company, compliance, and security standards.
  • Drive quality with a shift-left testing approach, including implementing automated unit testing, and partner to support various testing solutions for unit, functional, load and integration testing early and throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and upgrade existing software, including suggesting improvements that lead to better solutions.
  • Deliver solutions in an agile collaborative workplace with others including Product Owners, analysts, designers, testers, agile coaches, leadership and architects.
  • Maintain and grow technical skills, knowledge and currency via online, printed or in person trainings and seminars. Collaborate with peers via formal and informal channels such as Guilds.

What you will need to be successful

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences/Software Engineering preferred

Work Experience or Related Experience:

4-8 years’ experience in software development with specific experience in Microsoft technology stack

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The specialized knowledge, skills and abilities needed vary based on platform and team assignment. The below are typical examples which may apply.

  • Experience with WinForms, WCF, SQL Server, Open API/Swagger and Entity Framework.
  • Experience with Data Warehouse, ETL, SSRS and SSIS
  • Experience with AzureDevOps for automated lifecycle management and Git source code version control system
  • Experience with code productivity, quality and testing tools (ReSharper, Code Rush, NCrunch)
  • Background in cloud-based development environments is a plus
  • Experience implementing enterprise level platforms and frameworks (IAM, nServiceBus, caching, logging, and monitoring)
  • Familiarity with using secure software development practices for strengthening application security and compliance.

This is a remote position.

Salary Range

$103500.00 To $165500.00 / year

The compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position will be eligible for performance-based incentives and restricted stock units as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits including:
