Job Description

General Summary:

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for developing software with a distributed team for business-critical software applications and integrations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that align with our business objectives. The CEC IT portfolio is built on custom .NET applications running in Microsoft Azure and integrations with third-party SaaS solutions, including ecommerce, NCR Voyix, Aloha POS, SEMNOX gaming system, and Workday.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical development skills and effectively communicate with both developers and business leaders to align technical strategies with organizational priorities. This position offers some WFH flexibility.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Develop, deliver, and maintain software applications, systems, third-party integrations, and technology platforms based on business requirements.
2. Establish best practices to foster a high-performing software engineering environment, ensuring secure, scalable, resilient, and efficient software.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure code quality, testing, piloting, installation, and implementation are executed efficiently.
4. Promote continuous improvement and curiosity, driving speed to market at lower costs.
5. Develop back-end applications, APIs, and WinForm apps using C# .NET frameworks.
6. Develop front-end applications using Angular.
7. Perform peer code reviews and mentor junior developers to adhere to best practices and design patterns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of IT and business industry experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performance, globally distributed development teams.
• Continuous technical learning skills.
• Ability to build relationships across the organization with a focus on the customer.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, Agile, CI environment.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and lift between 1-25 lbs. Must use a computer and be able to work an 8-hour shift with some overtime. Travel may be required.
