Job summary

Coupa is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to scale our platforms and balance the power of a consolidated codebase with the flexibility of microservices. You’ll collaborate with Product and Development teams to build new features and mentor others, ensuring robust and scalable solutions across product lines.

You will work with engineers worldwide, applying strong frontend and backend skills to deliver reliable systems that improve customer outcomes and operating margins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML plus React/Redux.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Understanding of common design patterns.
• Familiarity with SQL Server/C# and database performance.

The Impact of Sr. Software Engineering to Coupa:

At a technical level your development team will offer application and infrastructure support for customer environments. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate across software products with engineers all over the company and globe to plan and deploy product releases.

What You’ll Do:

• As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will help scale our Coupa platforms as we expand and find the right balance between the power of a consolidated codebase and the flexibility of microservices. You will collaborate with Product and Development teams to build new features and find creative and elegant solutions to complex problems. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will offer advice and review of others designs and implementations and mentor others, breaking down information systematically.

What You Bring To Coupa:

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with Front-end development including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML and familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as React and Redux
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices
• Good understanding of common design patterns
• Familiarity with SQL Server/C# and general database knowledge, including performance and optimization
