Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Sr. Engineer to architect, design, develop, and test technologies that control and optimize robotic fulfillment used by .com operations.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Control and Coordination team, you will be a key member of a diverse team of engineers delivering highly scalable robotic systems. Your responsibilities include architecting, designing, and implementing systems for detailed planning and execution of movement for hundreds of thousands of robotic drives within Amazon's Robotics solution. Our software ensures timely delivery of packages to Amazon’s retail customers.
You will collaborate with firmware engineers, applied scientists, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to develop innovative automation solutions for Amazon's expanding robotic fleet.

As a software engineer, you'll develop cloud-based, high-performance solutions that orchestrate a worldwide fleet of mobile robots and process real-time data to bring data science models to practical use. If you are passionate about programming from concept to production, this is your ideal job.
The Control and Coordination (CoCo) team develops modular software to direct Amazon Robotics (AR) mobile robots, or drive units (DUs), within the Amazon Fulfillment network. The team maintains Tier-1 software, the FCExecution (FCX) service, which translates high-level plans into executable commands, manages interactions between drive units, and ensures operational safety and adaptability in dynamic warehouse conditions. We also collaborate with data scientists to deliver real-time data streaming and processing solutions that enhance robot performance and operational decision-making.
