Job summary

Beyond SOF is seeking an experienced software engineer for a hybrid on-site role in downtown Washington, DC. The position requires rapid, secure development in a DevSecOps environment with Kubernetes expertise and strong CI/CD practices.

Applicants should have 8+ years in software development (Java, .NET, Python, Go), IaC and containerization experience, and an active TS/SCI clearance. Expect 5 days on-site with a sign-on bonus to attract top talent.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a software developer or engineer.
• Experience with .NET, Java, Python, and Go.
• Possess a bachelor's degree.
• Experience working in a DevSecOps environment.
• Experience with Source Code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as TFS/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with IaC, containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with container orchestration tools (Rancher, OpenShift, etc.).
• Ability to work well on a team as well as individually.
• Ability to work in downtown Washington, DC on client site at least 5 days per week.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Hybrid- Washington, DC- 5 days on site
TS/SCI (T5 or T5R required)

Must haves:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a software developer or engineer


• Experience with software development languages such as .NET, Java, Python, and Go


• Possess a bachelor's degree


• Experience working in a DevSecOps environment


• Experience working with Source Code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub


• Minimum of 3 years' experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, K8, and CI/CD Automation

• Ability to work in downtown Washington, DC on client site at least 5 days per week


• Active TS//SCI clearance

Nice to haves:

• Passion for learning new development concepts, methodologies, and technologies


• Experience hardening and securing containers


• Previous experience with commercial cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure)


• Can establish and maintain a high level of client trust and confidence with your software development skills


• Can think out of the box to help with troubleshooting issues and providing innovative solutions that fit customers’ needs
