Job summary

Beyond SOF is hiring a senior software engineer for on-site work in downtown Washington, DC. You will contribute to high-security software development in a DevSecOps environment, using .NET, Java, Python, and Go, with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.

You will collaborate with teams to design, implement, and harden containerized applications, leveraging AWS/Azure cloud services and Kubernetes, while maintaining client trust and delivering innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years as software developer/engineer.
• Proficiency in .NET, Java, Python, and Go.
• Bachelor's degree holder.
• Experience in a DevSecOps environment.
• Experience with source code repos and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, GitHub).
• At least 3 years with IaC, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation.
• Container orchestration tools experience (Rancher, OpenShift).
• Ability to work solo and in teams.
• Willingness to work on client site in downtown Washington, DC at least 5 days/week.
• Active TS//SCI clearance.
• Passion for learning new development concepts and tech.
• Experience hardening and securing containers.
• Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure).
• Can establish strong client trust with software skills.
• Creative thinker for troubleshooting and customer-fit solutions.

Job description

• Experience with software development languages such as .NET, Java, Python, and Go
• Possess a bachelor's degree
• Experience working in a DevSecOps environment
• Experience working with Source Code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub
• Mimimum of 3 years' experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, K8, and CI/CD Automation
• Experience with container orchestration tools (Rancher, OpenShift, etc.)
• Ability to work well on a team as well as individually
• Ability to work in downtown Washington, DC on client site at least 5 days per week
• Active TS//SCI clearance
• Passion for learning new development concepts, methodologies, and technologies
• Experience hardening and securing containers
• Previous experience with commercial cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Can establish and maintain a high level of client trust and confidence with your software development skills
• Can think out of the box to help with troubleshooting issues and providing innovative solutions that fit customers’ needs
