Job summary

The role focuses on designing and optimizing silicon photonic components, testing layouts, and driving tapeouts through reviews with foundry partners. A Ph.D. or MS with relevant photonics experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in EE or Applied Physics or MS with relevant photonics background.
• Strong background in silicon photonics design and simulation.
• Proficiency with Lumerical, Tidy3D, or COMSOL.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and optimize passive and active silicon photonic components.
• Develop component layouts and test structures, collaborating with layout engineers.
• Drive component development through foundry tapeouts, including design reviews.
