Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to accelerate AI automation in Physical Design. You will collaborate with CAD and Methodology teams to advance complex processor architectures and verification practices across sites and time zones.

The role requires strong programming and scripting skills, experience with AI agents and LLMs, and a passion for modern processor design. Eligible applicants should have a background in PD concepts and be ready to engage in

THE ROLE:

As a Senior Silicon Design Engineer, you will work with CAD and Methodology experts to accelerate the use of AI automation in Physical Design.

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use, develop, and maintain AI agent solutions for Physical Design flow automation
• Evaluate AI solutions from EDA vendors
• Benchmark new models, skills, AI capabilities
• Support design teams during project execution

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with design concepts and PD implementation
• Experience using AI agents, LLM models, and state of art AI automation
• Experience with data analysis and visualization
• Strong programming and scripting skills with Python
• Strong analytical skills and mathematical modeling

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering or related fields
