Job Overview: Senior SEC Reporting Analyst

The Senior SEC Reporting Analyst handles SEC filings, XBRL tagging reviews, policy documentation, and coordination with external auditors. The role also involves analyzing complex issues requiring technical research and documentation, along with other projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage SEC filings such as 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, including preparation, review, approval, and filing.
  2. Maintain documentation supporting external financial statements and SEC filings.
  3. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and reviews.
  4. Monitor and analyze SEC and FASB initiatives affecting reporting.
  5. Research and document accounting and reporting issues related to FASB and SEC standards.
  6. Assist in preparing regulatory reports and documenting accounting policies.
  7. Support merger and acquisition due diligence, filings, and integration processes.
Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP financial reporting for public companies.
  • Knowledge of SEC rules and regulations.
  • Strong technical research skills in GAAP and SEC accounting.
  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls.
  • Intermediate XBRL skills; proficiency with Workiva's Wdesk.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or financial reporting.
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA license or progress toward it required.
