A leading biopharmaceutical company seeks a Scientist in the discovery DMPK group to understand ADME properties targeting new cell types. The role involves drafting study requests, conducting quantitation, and leading efforts in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will hold a PhD in pharmacology and possess hands-on experience with relevant techniques.
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWR) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines to treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes causing them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient delivery modes, Arrowhead therapies trigger RNA interference to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a natural mechanism in living cells that inhibits the expression of specific genes, affecting protein production.
Arrowhead focuses on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, often characterized by overproduction of certain proteins involved in disease. Our versatile RNAi technologies enable us to address conditions across various therapeutic areas, including targets not accessible by small molecules and biologics. We are leading in applying RNAi beyond the liver, with clinical pipelines targeting liver and lung diseases, alongside promising preclinical candidates.
Our headquarters are in Pasadena, CA, with research teams in Madison, WI, and San Diego, CA. Our employees are innovative, science-driven professionals committed to bringing new therapies to patients in need.
