Job Role:

Technical Account Manager – SAP & Applications

We are seeking senior professionals to provide advisory and strategic technical guidance, helping to plan and build solutions using best practices. The role involves proactively maintaining the operational health of Protera customers' environments. The successful candidate will develop close relationships with assigned customers to understand their business, operational needs, and technical challenges, assisting in the management and oversight of their critical SAP and related system portfolios.

Summary

The SAP BASIS Technical Account Manager (TAM) will support and administer all SAP activities for a group of customers. Responsibilities include designing, implementing/deploying SAP solutions to meet business goals, and maintaining those systems. This encompasses planning, coordination, and implementation of SAP changes, performance tuning, capacity planning, system migrations, support, upgrades, and more. The TAM should possess skills in SAP Basis management, governance, SAP application architecture, ITIL-based ITSM, and customer management & satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage large SAP implementations across various versions, operating systems, and databases.
  • Support multi-customer support models for steady state and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) projects.
  • Manage multiple SAP solutions including S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Business Suite, BI Analytics, etc.
  • Administer SAP HANA, Oracle, and MSSQL databases.
  • Work in shifts and manage entire shifts independently.
  • Possess knowledge or certifications in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Adapt existing methods and procedures to create solutions for complex problems.
  • Align with strategic directions set by senior management regarding team goals.
  • Use judgment to determine solutions and seek guidance on complex issues.
  • Communicate primarily with supervisors and peers.
  • Engage in application management and handle multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and internal quality reviews.
  • Handle incident and problem management.
  • Participate in automating routine activities.
  • Be a team player with good interpersonal and cross-team delivery skills.
  • Have knowledge of various databases, operating systems, and cloud environments (public, private, hybrid).
  • Be familiar with OEL, RHEL, SLES, and Windows.
  • Experience with monitoring systems like LogicMon, Avantra, and Solution Manager.
  • ITSM experience, with ServiceNow being a plus.
  • Study EWA reports and provide proactive recommendations to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation such as DPA, EU GDPR, etc.
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant SAP Basis experience.
  • College degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge or certification in AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
